Remus Lupin & Nymphadora Tonks' Wedding

Subject: Remus Lupin & Nymphadora Tonks' Wedding Mon Jul 27, 2009 5:38 pm

It was a beutiful summers morning, the sun was out over the forbidden forest. There were several clouds in the sky, passing across the sun, keeping it rather cool at points, not making it too hot and clammy.

Remus had used most of the money Lily and James had given to him for this day. He had treated himself to a suit, very much like one he would wear every day, but with less patches where it had been repared over the years. His shoes had been shined and waxed, causing them to glint in the sunlight. His hair had been combed and his stubbled had been removed, leaving him with his goatie.

He stood by the drinks table, no one appeared to be there at the time. His heart was racing. He glanced to the castle, wondering in there were any students watching in on the events.

He then turned to the walk way, where there was a purple carpet leading up to the small stage where the ceremony would take place..

Nymphadora stared at her reflection, biting her lip. "No!" She shouted, wiping off the makeup and restarting again. She wanted to be absoloutley perfect. If Remus was going to spend all this darned money on her, might as well appreciate it right? She tried applying eyeliner and moved her hand very slowly underneath her wide blue eyes, trying to make it just right before lengthening her eyelashes with mascara. She looked over her hair again. It looked so dull. She put miniature curlers up in it, clipping it to hold it in place. She knew exactly what she wanted, which is why she was doing most of this herself. Sure, the "girls" would help with her white dress but she didn't care about that. She didn't care about any of it. The lipgloss was squeezed tight in her hand from being nervous as she applied it to her pale pink lips. She then began to daydream for the fourtieth time today and the millionth time since Remus proposed. She dreamt of how many people where going to be there. Hopefully not a lot. She didn't want to make a huge deal out of the thing. I mean sure, it was changing her entire life and her dream was coming true but, to everyone else it was probably just another wedding. Nymphadora smiled at her reflection and whispered to herself "God, I hope you don't trip when you walk down the aisle you clumsy fool!"

Remus walked back and forth. His mind was running everything over. His mouth had become dry. He walked to the drinks table and got himself a beer and something to settle his nervous. His hand shook as he gulped the liquid down. He wished someone was there for support, Sirius, Arthur or even James.. but there was no one.

He hoped Tonks wasn't making too much of a fuss. He liked her as she was, not bothered by what others thought. He didn't think he would ever see someone in a wedding dress.. a bride, his bride in his life time. He wasn't sure he was going to be able to take it... even the money that was given to him was too much..

Tonks was currently wearing a purple tanktop and blue short shorts. She didn't want to put on her dress until absoloutley neccassary. She pulled out one curler and saw the beautiful brown ringlet- which her hair was it's normal brown color currently. She smiled brightly and slowly started taking out each one until she had ringlets and curls all over. She smiled at her reflection, adoring her new hairstyle and wondering if she should wear it like this for now on but then changed her mind to wearing it to special occassions only. Nymphadora stayed seated, fearful that she would stand up and scream again from all the excitement. She had screamed no less then an hour ago because she saw her wedding dress and how beautiful it looked. It was very simple and made out of silk. It did not hang over her feet so she wouldn't trip on it and their was no extra peices. Just the short sleeved dress itself. And Lily even got the seamstress to make gloves that matched her veil, so she didn't have to go without wearing gloves. Lily had thought of everything and she made a mental note to thank her for the sixteenth time after the wedding. She wondered what the cake looked like and how good it tasted. Her stomach growled so she stopped thinking of food and closed her eyes, taking deep breathes and steadying her nerves.

Hermione walks through the gate. She is very excited about the wedding. It looked pretty good so far. She saw Remus and decided to go ask if she could help. "Hello Remus, is there anything I can do to help," she asked. She looked around and saw Tonks. She also saw the cake, it was beautiful.

Tonks heard Hermione's voice outside and, still in her tank top and short shorts she opened the door that lead outside. "Hermione!" She said, excited. She blushed brightly when she saw Remus and shyly waved at him as if she was a little girl again before saying "Uh...Her-Hermione, I need to....Come here." She said, getting jumpy. She tried to hide her hair from being revealed to the sunlight so nobody could see her hair or face.

Remus turned, more like jumped when he heard Hermione's voice, he was rather jumpy, expecting to see Tonks appear at any moment and for the wedding to begin. ".. H~Hello Hermione.. and no.. I don;t think there is anything you need to do.. I am just waiting for the others to come.. and for Tonks to arrive.." he gulped down his beer and placed the empty pint glass on the drinks table. He scratched at the back of his hand looking very nervous.

He then heard her voice. His heart skipped a beat as he turned to see Tonks. Remus stood there as if he had been jinxed, unmoving and unblinking

Tonks looked at Remus and smiled, hiding half her body behind the door shyly and saying "Remus, are you okay?" She called, her face becoming worried at how pale his face looked. She then realized what the problem was. She was about to walk down the aisle. She was about to call someone her husband! Her life. She couldn't help but start tearing up at the thought. It was brilliant! She blew a kiss to Remus before pulling Hermione into the room with her and closing the door. She remembered how rude it looked so she opened the door and said to Remus "Don't you go anywhere." Winking at him and giggling before closing the door again. "Oh my god! Is'nt he just so.....UGH!" She said, not making any sense but smiling the whole time and going over to the table, wiping off her makeup and re-doing it.

Hermione ran over to Tonks and gave her a huge hug. "I am so happy for you," she said in her ear. "Is there something I can do," she asked. She was wondering why she had called her over. She seemed so happy, and she seemed that she really wanted to either show her tell Hermione something.

Remus hardly had a moment to tell Tonks anything. He looked rather bewilded as she came and went in what seemed to be a flash, Remus stood there still in a bit of a daze. He walked her leave to get herself ready again. He was about to tell her she didnt have to, make up or not he didn;t mind.
He went back to the drinks table and got himself another beer. It was getting hotter and hotter as the day went on.. it was getting closer to the time and still there was not many there. He had a terrible feeling building inside him

Tonks could hardly breathe. It was probably from all the heat inside the small room. Or it was just her imagination. She decided to put the wedding dress on and get this over with so she could go in an air conditioned room with just her and Remus. She put the veil on and pushed it back, opening the door just a tiny bit to fit her head through. "Remus...sweetheart. Can you please do me a favor?" She asked in the sweetest voice she could muster.

Remus bit on his bottom lip and nodded and walkde over to her instantly, after putting his beer down ".. yes Dora?" he asked kindly standing infront of her, his blue eyes wide and bright, more so than they had been for years,

"I am just burning up. Can you get me something to drink? Also, get me something to calm my nerves." She said, leaning her head against the door way and closing her eyes as a bead of sweat slipped down the side of her face. She slowly opened her blue eyes and whispered "Is that too much to ask?" She reached behind her and got her white gloves before slipping them on and looking back at him. "Wait, Remus whats wrong with you? We don't have to get married if it's too much for you..." She said but choked back fear.

He came back several minutes later and passed her the drink ".. unless you don't want to do it now.." he asked her

She took a swig of the beer before sighing and putting it out. She then smiled at him. "I said yes, didn't I? I knew what I was doing. I knew that I was going to marry a werewolf with not a lot of money. I knew. And I said yes." She paused for a long time before looking down and saying "You know what, I don't care about the marriage traditions about the bride seeing the groom. Do you want to see my dress, Remus?" She smiled brightly.

"..I thought you were already in it.." he said looking embarassed ".. and we have seen each other already.." he laughed before having a bit of her beer ".. I hope I have everything.. and I hope Harry hurries.. supposed to be my best man." Remus was starting to look nervous. He had planned most of this himself and was starting to find things he had forgotten

She laughed and said "Will you calm down? Okay, so tell me if this is too much." She walked out in her silky dress, putting her veil over her face and pushing her ringlets over her shoulders- her hair still brown. She spun around once and walked toward him, putting one gloved hand on his chest. "Do I look like I could be your wife?" She asked, softly- a tear running down her cheek.

Lily Ran agross the crounds in her knee length summer dress that flowed elegantly upon her, seeing Remus and Tonks by the door she smiled and picked up her pace a little, she had a pink bag in he rhand with presents in it, her dainty white shoes upon her feet, when she reached both Remus and Tonks her grin grew widely

"hey...sorry im late Darling"

she said to them both

"Tonk you shouldnt be out here...and Remus...you should have your eyes closed"

she teased as she tried to pull Tonks from Remus

"I dont think your outfit is finished yet"

Lily told Tonks trying to get her back in the room.

"But I....Wait, Lily!......Remus?" Tonks said, but she was pulled into the room as the door shut. "What was that for? Who cares about who sees me or not. He surely doesn't. He would say I am the most beautiful woman in the world if I wore a tshirt and boxers." She said, crossing her arms and wiping the tear away from before.

Lily said as she placed the bag on the side and dipped her hand into the bag

"Now...I have something old...something new...something borrowed and something blue"

Lily told Tonks as she began to show her the items, she pulled out a beautiful blue garter

"lift up the skirt of your dress"

Lily told Tonks as she held the garter out for Tonks to step one leg into.

Tonks looked a tad scared but she did as what Lily told and stepped in as she pulled it up and pulled it tight.

"hmmmm...what next?"

Lily mussed as she looked through the back again,

"ahh...something new"

Lily mussed gently as she pulled out a pretty diamonta hair slid from the bag

"come her"

she said gently to her as she went to move the vial a little so that she could slid the clip into her ringlets.

"Ow, that kind of hurts." She said as Lily slipped the clip in. She glanced in the reflection and shrugged. "Improvements make all the difference." She added, turning back to Lily.

"Sorry"

Lily mussed as Tonk ssaid it hurt her, she then chuckled softly at Tonks remark before bitting her lower lip ever so ever so gently,

"Something, old, anf something borrowed"

Lily whispered to herself before her dainty hands moved to the antic locket around her neck, a warm smile slipped across her lips as she slowly began to remov it, looking at it as it resting in the palm of her hand before she stepped forward and went to place it around Tonks' neck,

"Something borrowed and something old in this one......this was a gift James gave me on our wedding"

Lily told Tonks as she went to fo up the clasp, the locket was white gold with a single diamond in the corner of the heart cshaped locket.
