A Little Visit

Tonks was staring boredly at the table, since she was known at times to act sort of childlike before snapping her head up and meeting the winter-blue eyes of Remus.

She softly smiled and said "Nothing, really. They are going rampid with all of the incidents, though. Driving me batty. I guess it's because we are sort of the heart of it all, protecting Harry and so such. Sometimes...no all the time I wish It was just me and my friends at hogwarts, crushing on boys and loathing schoolwork." She said, laughing softly as she started fiddling with her gloves on the table and thought to herself about the old days.

Molly interupted her thoughts by putting a plate of dinner in front of her. She did the same for the others before saying "Dig in!" as if she was merry and jolly. Tonks took the fork and poked at the meal before digging in and eating. she giggled, trying to swallow the giant lump.

Ron had been laying around in his room, reading a book about the Chudley Cannons that Harry had brought him. He wasn’t having much look get through it though as Pig kept zooming madly around the room. It also didn’t help the ghoul had become rowdy recently. He shuddered slightly and shut the book. He set it on the table beside his bed before picking up a transfiguration book and tossing it at Pig.
“Stupid thing,” he muttered under his breath.

Ron pulled himself off of his bed and ran a hand through his ginger hair. It was growing quickly; he’d need it cut soon. He pushed his feet inside a pair of worn out trainers before trudging out of the room; leaving a squealing Pig to zoom around by himself. He sometimes wished Harry was there with him, and Hermione. He and Hermione fought a lot, but he still liked her; she was his friend.

Ron made his waydownstairs and into the kitchen. He didn’t notice Remus or Tonks there; his stomach was growling. He grabbed a bread roll from the basket on the side. He grabbed himself a glass of and poured some milk into it. Taking a bite out of the bread roll, he washed it down with the milk. Ron turned around and it was then he saw Remus and Tonks. He smiled awkwardly and rubbed the back of his head, messing it up slightly. “Hey,” he greeted, still smiling awkwardly.

Remus laughed at Tonks and just took a small piece and bit into it. He drank his drink and ate his meal,

He soon fell into silence once more, but he heard footsteps. He looked up to see Ron Weasley entering the kitchen. His eyes remained on him as he wondered around, as if himself and Tonks weren't there.

He picked up the last strap of food with his fingers and popped it into his mouth before Ron finally say them "good evening Ron.. I was wondering when you might have noticed us here." he chuckled "I was starting to think it was only me and Nymphadora here.."

Ron continued to smile awkwardly, though he stressed and yawned, taking a bite out of his bread roll again. He shook his fringe out of his eyes before shaking his head. "I'm pretty sure the others are around here somewhere," he mumbled with a shrug, his mouth still half full.

Once Ron had swallowed, he took another drink of the milk and finishing it off, before chucking it into the sink ready for cleaning. His stomach grumbled again and he muttered something unintellingent to it before shoving his hands into the pockets of his faded jeans.

"How've you been anyway?" Asked Ron curiously, his right eyebrow subconciously raising. He grabbed a chair from the table and sat down on it, licking his dry lips. He wondered what Harry was doing and he was considering sending Pig with a letter. If there was one thing he missed; it was his friends.

Lily had been wandering the same path for hours, contenplating on wether or not she should go to the door, she had not seen Remus and Dora enter the establishment, thinking only Molly and arthur would be inside, she made her way back to that same spot, as she stood there upon the cobbled pavement outside the front gate, gazing up the house, she bit her lower lip ever so ever so gently......would they even believe that it was her at the door?.....would they welcome her in? or turn her away? it had been far too long, she had been locked up and kept away from sociaty for far, far too many years, she inaled deeply and braced herself opening the gate as it craked slightly, she made her way to the front door, as she heard the sound of her shoes tapping upon the path, as she made her way up the small steps to the large wooden door, she took another deep breath before her dainty hand rasped upon the wood,

*knock....knock...knock*

sounded through the hallway as she stood there awaiting an answer, keeping the hood of her deep green cloak up and over her head.

Ron had been waiting for an answer of Remus but he hadn't received one yet. He shuffled his feet under tap before humming 'randomly' to himself. He was going to back up to his bedroom when he heard a knock at the door. Ron's eyebrows knitted together as he pushed himself up. He pulled his red jumper, striped jumper down before going to the door.

Ron curled his hand around the door knob before opening it. Before him stood a woman he didn't know. His eyesbrows unknitted before one of them rose. "Who the bloody hell are you?" Ron inquired. He didn't know who she was which was strange. He usually knew everyone who came to visit.

[This isn't sent in any book time frame really, allowing more things to happen and more characters]

Remus took his drink and gulped the rest of it down in one before standing up to get himself another.

"I am fine thank you Ron, been rather busy of course, been helping the order.. whilst getting ready to start Hogswarts after the Holidays, rather nervous about going.. but I am positive it will do me good, being back there, well Hogwarts is my home.."

Before he could say another world, he heard the knocks at the door. He looked towards the door way, wondering who ir could be, at this time..Most of the Weasley's were there.. but.. they would never knock on their own door..

He left the table and walked to the door. Thinking Ron better not had...encase it was a death eater..

He tried to peer through the window, but all he could see that the outline, of a women. Ron had already gotten hold of the door handle. As the door opened, he saw the figure in the light. His sapphire coloured eyes widened.. his face grew several shades lighter "..L~Lily..."

As the door opened Lily looked to the red headed boy and smiled ever so ever so gently, she had her fingers curled around the clasp at the neck of her cloak, her chest seemed to be rising and sinking some what frantically beneath the deep green material of the cloak, as Lily heard Remus speak her name her emerald eyes glanced toward his face, hers too was far more then two shades lighter, as she parted her lips to speak, unable to let the words escape her before her eyes rolled back slightly and she fainted, falling inwards and calapsing in a heap upon the floor, nearly taking Ron out with her, she had exhausted herself, and what the hood of her cloak covered was bruising upon her face, she had obviously gotten into a tiff with someone, and she had come out of it worse then the opposite aponant.

Ron nodded. "Good to hear it," he said with a slight smile before it widened. Remus had been the best teacher that they'd ever had. Well, in Ron's opinion anyway. That is, if you didn't count Harry's teachings in Dumbledore's Army, more commonly known as the DA. It was where he'd learn the majority of his stuff that had allowed him to receive his OWLS. "So you're coming back to Hogwarts? As Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher?" He asked, clearly curious.

Ron turned to face Remus, his eyebrow still raised. "Lily?" He asked. "Who the bloody hell is Lily?" He almost demanded, folding his arms across his chest. Ron towered over the majority of people in his family and the majority of his friends and his parents friends; that included Remus. Sometimes he liked being taller than everyone else, though it was sometimes a burden. Ron watched as the woman before him fainted; nearly taking Ron with her. It was lucky he managed to step back in time. He frowned once she'd fainted. "Do we bring her in of what?"

Remus rose a eyebrow at him, as if he was asking a dumb question ".. of course we bring her inside." he said kneeling down as best he could , with his stiff joints. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her up and carried her to the nearest chair

"I am positive she will be alright.. just exhausted.." he said after making sure her breathing was good enough and her pulse.

He took a few steps back and looked at her, looking as though he was seeing a ghost ".. Its Lily.. Evan's.. well... Potter.." he said without looking at Ron.

His head snapped up when he heard Harry's familiar voice coming through the darkness.

Ron still wasn't getting answers and he was becoming impatient. He muttered something under his breath and tapped his pocket, just to make sure it was still there. Ron was paranoid when it came to his wand, especially after Harry and himself and flew into the whomping willow and it had snapped in half. He shuddered at the thought, though it brought a smile to his lips. Somewhere in his garden, he heard a pop and a rustling of leaves. He ignored it though.

Ron stepped over Lily's body - whoever she happened to be - and shuffled his feet in the dirt as the chickens pecked at the ground, looking for food. Ron had been looking to his feet before he'd heard his name being shouted. He'd recognised the voice almost immediately and his face broke into a grin. He lifted his head up to see Harry jogging over to him. Once he'd reached him, Ron shrugged. "Dunno," he admitted, rubbing the back of his head. "Some woman named Lily came and fainted and stuff. Tonks and Remus are here too," he said, trying to piece it altogether so it made sense.

"Don't look at me like that," Ron muttered under his breath as he 'glared' at Remus. He hated being treated like a child; even if he was immature, he was still sixteen after all. Ron rolled his eyes and nodded. "Why don't you take her to Percy's old room or something?" He suggested before frowning. "Lily Potter? Ain't that..." he trailed off. "Bloody hell," he said, clearly with surprise.

Remus nose crinkled back to Ron, not looking at all happy by his actions, but there were more pressing matters at hand.

He stood there a few feet away from Lily.. looking at her,, trying to work out what was going on.. was this a trick, a lore..or was this the best day in his life..or was it even a dream..

He looked back to Harry, snapping out his day dream. He quickly walked to Ron and stood by him ".. I know it's her.. it looks like her... but.. I do not know what has happened,,, this could be a trick of somekind.." he said not wanting to get Harry's hopes up.

Ron raised an eyebrow. "What do you expect it to be, Polyjuice potion?" He asked, before shaking his head. "It'll wear off soon if it is," he mused, yawning slightly before frowning. "What's if it's femori?" He asked, slightly excited and a smirk crowned his lips before he remembered Harry was standing next to him.

"Sorry," he mumbled, quickly apologising. Ron shuffled his feet and looked into the sky, seeing the black clouds roll on in, threatening to spill their contents. "How about we get inside, ey Harry?" He asked, though he went inside anyway, waiting for Harry to follow; if he wanted to that way.

"I don't know!" he snapped at Ron getting impatient with him, He knew a great deal in the dark arts, but his mind had gone blank at seeing Lily's face once more in the flesh after so many years.

He turned from Ron and Harry and walked back into the Burrow and sat a few seats away from Tonks. He just looked at Lily's examining her face, trying to work it all out.

After several minutes he needed to try and calm himself, relax his mind as it raced. He took the wand from the table from where he had left it after bringing Lily inside. he used it to accio himself a glass of red wine.

"You're supposed to be an expert with this stuff," he muttered, kicking the floor and scuffing his already worn out trainers. He sighed and shook his head. Ron began to bite the innards of his lips, rubbing his eyes which suddenly seemed dry. Ron pulled his wand out of his pocket and twiddled it within his fingers, trying to think of something to say. He couldn't. His mind was blank. He wasn't used to situations like this; Ron was more immature and liked to joke about things.

"Ron you are not helping that matter!".. he said as he head snapped towards him This is a shock for me too.. this cannot be done with a potion.. she had been dead for years.. and buried, and the site was charmed.. here is no way any body could get to Lily or James... I am trying to think of something to give me the clue... right now.. it's not important.. for now.. she is Lily..I will stay up and keep watch, encase something was to change... "

he rubbed his brow and closed his eyes for a few minutes, sipping his wine and trying to remain.

".. you aren't the only one thinking you have lost your mind Harry..or banged it." he asked finally producing a smile. "Trick or not.. I am happy to see her.. in the flesh.."

Mear moments after there conversation, Lily began to cough lightly where she lay in the chair Remus had placed her in, a frown creasing her delicate brow, her pale features seeming pained, confussed, as she let a small groan escape her pale pink lips, shifting slightly in the chair as her eye lids faught to flutter to an open, the dim light in the room illumating the nasty bruise that haunted her cheek bone as she turned her head just slightly.

What was going on indeed?....had it all been a lie?...had Lily infact been alive all this time? been hiding?...or was she a ghost? a spirit for the night, an illution?

He heard Lily and his head snapped round. He put his drink down and walked up to her, he knelt down and looked at her carefully, He bit his lip and narrowed his eyes. "Lily?" he asked "... is it really you?" he tilted his head slightly before glancing at Tonks, nearly forgetting she was there, after Lily's had stole his concentration and heart

Lilly's eye lids finally fluttered open to reveal her Emerald green eyes, as she looked to Remus contently, the tiniest of smiles slipping its way upon her pale pink lips as she sat there, for she was happy to see her old friend once more, after all these long years, simply hearing his sweet voice made her smile as she heard his question she gave a tiny nod of her dainty head

"Yes Remus....it is I"

she whispered somewhat weakly as she braought her hand to her mouth and coughed lightly once more.

".. This is not possible... you were killed.. along with James.." he stuttered ".. what happened to you?" he was too busy being distracted by her appearance, than to ask her to prove herself. encase it was a trap, that wasn't registering with him.

He had to sit down his head was thumping and racing though ideas of what might or might not of happened.

As Remus spoke og James and there death she had to look away from him, it pained her to think or that night, every day she was haunted by the terrible memory, the memory of her darling Husband being killed, Not to mention the death of her only son.....when Albus had found her, very much alive, but very, very weak, he had taken her away to hide her, unaware that her own son was still alive she remained in hiding under Albus' commands. S,all tears came to her emerald eyes as she watched Remus. so much she needed to say, but she was scared to say it.

"I.......I never died that night Remus......Albus...he...he found me....my heart was still beating"

she tol dhim in her soft some what weak tone.

Remus's face went a deadly pale. He stood there staring for several moments, in silence. His mind was a blur, a scrambled mess of the information "...that, is impossible.." he said distantly, shaking his head ever so slightly.

"... Why wasn't I told.. the order... we had the right to know... none of us would have told anyone.. nothing to risk losing this war.." he was feeling a mixture of peace, yet after learning Albus had lied.. there was some bitterness and betrayal creeping in.

Lily shook her head as she watched him, listened to his out burst of words, Albus had his reasons....and good intentions...Lily thought Harry was dead...and she still thought this as she sat there watching remus's every movement, listening to hiis every word.

"Remus..."

she hwispered gentyl before coughing once more,

"He...he couldnt tell you....dont you see...he..he couldnt tell anyone....Vol.....The Dark Lord has his ways of getting information....and he could have used anyone of you in order to find me.....My Husband and my son both died that night.....Albus wasnt going to risk my life also"

she remarked, correcting herself when she nearly splurted out the unmentionable name 'Voldermort' but it was obviouse now that not only had albus lied to the Order..but he had also lied to Lily...about Harry.
